Hi! I’m Chelsea, the lead farmer behind Postcard Petals. Along with my husband, I officially started the farm in 2025, but the “seed” was planted way before then. I began gardening back in 2016 as a way to make my own salsa and quickly tumbled, hat over garden boots, into a full-fledged passion for growing. Each year, we expanded our little backyard garden until it became clear: we needed more space. I had been dreaming about ways to turn my hobby into a career, and my husband’s makeshift workshop (a.k.a. our garage) wasn’t cutting it anymore. One day in 2023, we simultaneously send the link to the same home to each other - it was fate. We got the keys on Memorial weekend and haven’t looked back. The farm life is for us.

Now, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, but it’s great to have someone by my side to make it all worth it. That’s where our name comes in, Postcard Petals. For a full year (way before marriage), my husband and I were long-distance while I completed a year of service through the AmeriCorps VISTA program in Houston, TX. We started sending each other postcards, which sometimes included a simple inside joke, and other times were heartfelt notes. Throughout the years, I can’t even count how many postcards he’s written, sometimes sending them through the mail and other times leaving them somewhere for me to find. Postcards will always have my heart - as will our little farm.

Here at Postcard Petals, we specialize in delightful mixed bouquets, which change weekly depending on what’s in season. Our blooms are available May through October at our flower stand in Montrose, conveniently located near Birch Run and Clio. You can also find us on Saturdays at the Davison Farmers Market.
